CIRCLE(S)

Why CIRCLES?

We believe that we were made for community as we walk together as a church.  As we "grow" larger, we believe that it is important to "grow" smaller at the same time by creating intentional spaces for people to share life with one another.  The focus of CIRCLES in our overall discipleship is to CONNECT.  The goal of our community is NOT looking at the back of each other's head on a Sunday morning.  We believe our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings are important to our community life but we also believe that long term community is lived out in smaller environments where we are turning towards one another.

As a part of a CIRCLE you are committing to the following:

  • Meeting once a month over the next year
  • Connecting through a cookout, sharing a meal, hanging out, fun activities, game night etc.

CIRCLES are NOT:

  • Small groups
  • Life Groups
  • Bible Studies

***If the CIRCLE you are a part of has kids, there will be several times a year that your CIRCLE will do something as adults, apart from the kids.  We have a lot of great “babysitters” in the youth group.

NOTE: The goal of CIRCLES is NOT a Bible Study or study.  If you are looking for that type of setting, we focus on that in the DISCOVER and DEVELOP areas of our Discipleship Pathway. These settings usually last for 6-8 weeks on average.  We say this up front to provide complete clarity. If a CIRCLE leader is asked about a Bible study, the CIRCLE leader will direct people to what is available already or look at areas that we may want to start.
